James Glen “Wimpy” Wallace, Jr.

James Glen “Wimpy” Wallace, Jr. was the second of nine children born to Margaret Harper Wallace and James Glen Wallace, Sr. on October 22, 1935.  He attended Judson S. Hill School and Morristown College High School.  He worked for the Morristown Sanitation Department until his retirement.  He was married to Geneva McKinney Wallace.

He looked forward to going to New York to visit his sister and family but the Lord called him home before this was accomplished.  He really enjoyed the family outings that he was able to attend in Gatlinburg.  Wimpy was a good natured person who helped take care of neighbor’s son who was crippled.  He would help lift him in and out of the car and wheel chair and anything else that they needed his help with.  I remember a story that our Mother told about Wimpy when he was a child.  He went to Kingsport to visit with our aunt and uncle.  They drove to Morristown to pick him up and drove back to Kingsport for him to spend the weekend.  Well things didn’t turn out; because he cried so much as the night got long and they ended up bring him back home. Wimpy attended and was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.  He is buried at Russellville Cemetery.  He is surely missed by the family.
