On behalf of Leonard John Wallace who was the oldest child born to the union of Margaret Harper Wallace and James Glen Wallace. He attended Judson S. Hill School and Morristown College High School, where he played football. After graduating from Morristown College High School; he worked at Lincoln Mercury until he joined the army in 1956. During high school, he met his wife, Betty Jo Carson. After Betty graduated from high school they were married. They were blessed with four children; Nick, Victor, Davilla, and Joseph. While he was in the service, he was sent to Mannheim, Germany; where he had his family (wife and three children) to join him from 1959 to 1962. He was also stationed in China, Korea, and Viet Nam. Leonard received many awards including a Good Conduct Medal, Viet Nam Service Medal, two Bronze Stars, and one Overseas Bar. On January 1973, he was discharged with a physical disability.
Nick is the oldest. After finishing high school he enlisted in the United States Army; and was sent to Viet Nam. At the time, Leonard was stationed in Viet Nam; they met with each other one time.
Victor Wallace is the second born to Leonard and Betty Wallace. He was born in 1952 and graduated from Morristown Hamblen High School West and also attended Walters State Community College. Victor works at Nashua in Jefferson City, where he is a Label Slitter Operator. He has two sons, Victor (Shay) and Steuffon (Tony) Wallace. His children has blessed him with 2 grandchildren; Tori Wallace, who is the daughter of Shay and Jackari, the son of Tony and Acacia Wallace. I enjoy spending time with them and watching them grow. I plan on retiring from Nashua in the next 2 years so I can spend more time with all my kids.
Davilla is the third child born to Leonard and Betty Wallace. She graduated from Morristown Hamblen High School West and attended Walters State Community College. She married Homer Dinkins and had one son, Derrick who was born in Berlin, Germany. She moved back to Morristown and married Jackie McDermott in 1985. They have been married 30 years. She is retired from General Electric (G.E.). Derrick and Amy have two children, Mia and Kalyssa Dinkins. Davilla and Jackie enjoy camping and going to the grand kid’s activities of Isaiah & Anna McDermott and Mia and Kalyssa.
Joseph was the youngest child. He started playing football at an early age. He was a good player in high school. He graduated from Morristown Hamblen High School West. He was employed at General Electric (G.E.) until he was in a fatal car accident in 1984.
