Evening | Other Family members can go out to eat as a group (TBD), hang out at the Resort pool, relax etc. |

Evening – 7:00pm | Attend the "Soul of Motown" Review at the Grand Majestic Theater. **Dinner & Show is $38.45 for Adults. Less for kids. Meal 7pm, Show starts 8pm. Family will wear Family T-shirts to show |

Note: We have formed a committee to head-up this year’s Family Reunion. If anyone has any suggestions or, comments to make our Family Reunion better, please let us know or let your Family lead know. We are getting to the point where we will need to know who is coming so we can start our final planning. We will be reaching out to you very soon to stat your payments. Plan ahead so that YOU and YOUR family can come and enjoy YOUR 2016 Family Reunion. * Make sure your family members get a copy of this. Also, being that there has been a lot of hard work on the Family Web-Site, please let everyone know to go there for new updates and family information. |
2016 Reunion Update #5
The conference call on May 10, 2016 was called to order by Stanley Wallace. Those on the call were Stanley, Adrian, Rosa, Charles, Davilla, Dot, Thad, Missi, Sean, Albert Lee, Esther, Hardres, and Barry.
The agenda topics:
1. Recap of what the cater will provide:
A. Caterer to provide tablecloths, silverware, servers (when the picnic begins to make sure everyone gets a plate); after everyone has been served they will leave, but will have to go plates for the food that’s left.
B. The food will consist of fried chicken, baked beans, green beans, cole slaw, deviled eggs, pork barbeque ribs, potato salad ,hot dogs, water, tea, lemonade, cakes, pies.
2. Each family lead gave an estimate count of how many of their family members will attend what event.
3. The kids T-Shirts was discussed, but after the conference call Sean and Kendra decided that they would do the kids T-Shirts since it was not that many. Remember they are only doing toddler T-Shirts. If you or one of your family members has a toddler, please go to wallaceharper.com and fill out the form that Sean has prepared ASAP.
4. Stanley discussed the short program at the picnic. Missi will be doing our family history presentation. Each family head would tell a little about their family and would introduce all family members. Each family will have a photo taken by our family photographer, Derrick. Sometime during the picnic a group picture will be taken.
5. Sean discussed the web. If you have pictures or news items that you want included on the web site; send them to [email protected]. A lot of work has gone into getting our site up and running; so we encourage family members to go to the site for updates, new pictures, general information, etc. We now have a military section on the web site (those in our family that have served our country).
Our next conference call will take place on June 14, 2016 @ 6:00 p.m.

2016 Reunion Update #4
The conference call meeting was called to order by Stanley on April 12, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. Those on the call were Stanley, Rosa, Charles, Albert Lee, Sean, Thaddeus, Dot, Hardress, Esther, Adrian, Missi, & Barry. The first item on the agenda was the update on the catering by Albert Lee. He said that they would prepare pork ribs, chicken, baked beans, cole slaw, deviled eggs, mac & cheese, drinks (consisting of tea, leomonade, water), and deserts (cakes & pies). They would also furnish hot dogs and buns. Esther said that she had some tablecloths we could use if the caterer doesn’t supply them. It was mentioned that Jackie McDermott wants to do corn on the cob on the grill. The price for the picnic would be $10.00 per person.
The heads of each family is to get a count of how many people would be attending each event and be responsible for collecting their money and turning it in to Barry. All moneys for the events and T-Shirts are due June 20, 2016. Stanley has prepared a sheet for keeping up with what each person has paid and what they will attend. I think it was previously posted.
Missi did an update on the T-Shirts. The cost of the initial screen for the Tee-shirts is $40.00. The cost of the shirts will be around $8.00 - $10.00 with a little more for larger sizes and long sleeve (Adrian wants his to be long sleeve. Stanley is to check on Tee Shirts for the smaller kids.
It was suggested that we have a memorial page for those of our family that have passed on (name, date of birth and date of death if known). So if you have a family member that has died and you want them on the memorial page; please supply the information needed. It was also mentioned that we have a page of those in our family that has served in the military; (a picture, dates served, and branch served).
We discussed the places to have our breakfast. Missi is to check on these three places; Sawyer Farm House Café, Shoney’s, and Old Mill Restaurant.
